I use Illustrator for the maps. It makes my life so much easier.

yeah, but how abt the repetition in motifs??? U do brushes or smt?? I'm not really acquainted (yet) with illustrator...

nah, I use paths to represent the lines and I just create a standard "subway stop" and fit the paths to the subway lines to get the spacing right.
